Dr. Vivek Nair has 11 years of experience in lithium-ion, Sodium-ion and lithium--metal batteries and more than 12 years of industrial experience in carbon capture & conversion, advanced carbon materials and turquoise hydrogen. He is currently the Co-founder of Graphene watts and leads the execution of the company to produce advanced batteries for the EV and ESS market.
Mr Ngiam Shih Chun is the Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority, which ensures a reliable and secure energy supply, promotes effective competition in the energy market, and develops a dynamic energy sector in Singapore.
Mr Ngiam was formerly the Deputy Secretary (Industry) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry from 2012 to 2018 where he helped shape Singapore’s industrial and economic policies. In 2016, he co-led the Secretariat for the Committee on the Future Economy to develop key strategies to generate economic growth and create good jobs for Singaporeans.
He has held various appointments in the Emeritus Senior Minister's Office, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Home Affairs. Mr Ngiam is currently a board member of the Energy Market Authority, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and St Andrew’s Community Services.
He holds a Master’s degree in Science (Financial Engineering) from National University of Singapore in 2002 and a Master’s degree in Science (Management) from Stanford University, USA, 2006. Mr Ngiam was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2016.
Kai jointly leads client coverage, and deal origination, structuring and execution for Clifford Capital with a focus on the infrastructure sector.
He has over 12 years’ experience in project and structured finance, with roles at Mizuho Bank, DBS and Singapore Power. During this time, Kai led financial advisory and lending transactions for a wide range of projects covering power (conventional and renewables), natural resources (oil and gas, LNG) and infrastructure.
Kai holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master of Business Law from the University of Sydney.
For 30 years, Dr Jean-Christophe NIEL has gained a long experience in the control of nuclear safety and in radioprotection through various positions, at the French technical safety organization “Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire” (IRSN) and at the French nuclear safety authority “Autorité de sûreté nucléaire” (ASN).
He was Director General of ASN for almost 10 years.
The President of the French Republic appointed Jean-Christophe Niel at the head of IRSN in April 2016. He has been reappointed in April 2021 for five years.
Dr Niel currently chairs the Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI) of the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA).
He has recently been appointed member of the International Nuclear Safety Group (INSAG) by the Director General of IAEA, Raphael Grossi.
