Anthony Tan is the Vice President and Managing Director of UL’s ASEAN region. UL’s ASEAN region includes operations in seven economies covering more than 17 divisions. UL is a global independent safety science company offering business services to clients across strategic industries including consumer products, industrial products, medical, construction, energy, retail, banking and food services. UL’s services include product testing, inspection, certification, supply chain, environmental-related, transaction security, workplace safety and many others. The testing, inspection and certification sector represents a $30 billion dollar global market.

Anthony joined UL in 2016 with more than 20 years of expertise at 3M where he had full responsibility for developing business strategies and driving business operations for the Asia and Asia Pacific regions. He last served as Head of Commercial Excellence for Asia driving a continuous improvement process for marketing, sales and service to build a world class front-end operations.

Anthony received his MBA and Master Degree in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull and is Six Sigma Master Black Belt certified.

Tan Szue Hann is Singapore’s 2015-16 Young Green Architect of the Year, awarded by BCA and SGBC. He is Head of Sustainability at homegrown infrastructure and building consultancy Surbana Jurong. He is also a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects, Singapore, and a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee. Szue Hann is also a member of the BCA Young Leaders Programme, and a Board Member at the Singapore Green Building Council.

In 2016, he was appointed a World Cities Summit Young Leader by the Ministry of National Development, and elected as the Chairman of the ARCAsia Committee for Young Architects.

His work with Surbana Jurong is in sustainable and smart urban environments in Singapore and the region, having completed recently-launched BCA SkyLab, a state-of-the-art rotatable test bed for future smart and sustainable building technologies. He is also working on planning a cycling city in Singapore, and greening new and mature housing estates.

Nobuo Tanaka is the Chairman of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation. He is also a visiting professor of the University of Tokyo (Graduate School of Public Policy). Mr. Tanaka's decades of experience with energy and finance began in 1973 when he joined Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. He has also worked for the Japanese embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. He served as executive director of the International Energy Agency from 2007 to 2011. Mr. Tanaka, a Japanese national, has a degree in economics from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.

Simon Tay is a public intellectual as well as an advisor to major corporations and policy-makers.

He is Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest think tank and founding member of the ASEAN network of think-tanks. An independent, civic institution, the SIIA is ranked by an international survey a leading think tank in Asia, and advised the Indonesian and Myanmar governments on foreign investment. He is concurrently a tenured Associate Professor, teaching international law at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. He has also taught as a visiting professor at Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School and Yale University.

Mr Teo Chee Hean, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, will deliver the Singapore Energy Lecture (SEL) on 23 October 2017 at the 10th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW). The SEL is the keynote address that will set the tone for discussions at SIEW 2017, centred on the theme "Rethinking Energy; Navigating Change".

Masakazu Toyoda is Chairman and CEO at The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ). Since he assumed the post in July 2010, he has kept encouraging his team to produce wide variety of reports of energy and associated issues which are based on fair, objective and quantitative analyses. Contributions by Prof Toyoda and his dedicated team have led the organization to the honor to be among Top-3 Think Tank in the WORLD for 3 consecutive years, in the area of Energy and Resources Policy (2014-2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index by University of Pennsylvania).

Prof Toyoda also serves as an international advisor to several institutions such as:

• Accenture
• Brunei National Energy Research Institute (BNERI) -King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC)
• Oxford Institute for Energy Studies -Pacific International Center for High Technology Center (PICHTR)  

In addition to above positions, Prof Toyoda is teaching "Energy Economics" at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo as an Adjunct Professor.

Prior to joining the IEEJ, he held prominent positions in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan such as Vice-Minister for International Affairs (2007-2008).

Prof Toyoda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Tokyo University, and gained an M.A. in Public Affairs in 1979 from Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University.

Dimitris Tsitsiragos, a Greek national, is IFC’s Vice President of New Business. He leads investment operations, overseeing new business development and client relationships with key private sector partners worldwide. Mr. Tsitsiragos was previously IFC’s co-Vice President for Global Client Services, leading investment operations and advisory services from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Tsitsiragos was IFC’s Vice President for Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, and North Africa. From 2010 to 2011, he served as IFC’s Director for Middle East, North Africa, and Southern Europe.

Mr. Tsitsiragos headed IFC Global Manufacturing and Services from 2004 to 2010, leading activities in tourism, retail and property development, construction materials, the forest-products chain, life sciences, and energy-efficient machinery.

Mr. Tsitsiragos has worked in a wide range of regions and industries. He spent over two years in New Delhi as IFC’s Director for South Asia, where he doubled commitments for the region, and doubled IFC’s portfolio in India. He also served as Manager of New Investments for IFC in Eastern and Central Europe, and spent over 12 years in IFC’s oil and gas division. Mr. Tsitsiragos holds an MBA from The George Washington University.
