In her Welcome Address and Opening Remarks at ADS/ARTC, Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Ministry of Trade and Industry, highlighted two key avenues for potential collaboration among downstream industry players:

  • Partnering with the Government and academia to ensure there is a clear use case and deployment pathway for R&D projects
  • Partnering with the Government to accelerate the adoption of clean technologies and processes

"It is not enough to set targets and make promises. We must follow through on our commitments. Let us leave no stone unturned as we work together to accelerate investments in clean energy, foster innovation, and strengthen international cooperation," Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, in his Opening Remarks at the Singapore-IEA Forum on 24 Oct.


EMA's Chief Executive Ngiam Shih Chun, at the SIEW Energy Insights on "Enhancing Regional Connectivity", outlined "four key areas" needed for regional connectivity to succeed:

  1. High-level commitment across governments
  2. Technology to enhance energy trading efficiency
  3. Commercially viable processes for sustainability
  4. The collaborative efforts of multiple stakeholders
