As Seen At: 2023 Youth Energy Showcase
This energy showcase is part of Youth@SIEW, an outreach platform to engage tertiary students and educators on the latest energy trends and career opportunities in the energy sector.
This year’s Youth Energy Showcase was held on 27 October, and featured exhibitions that showcase energy-related innovations by students from seven institutes of higher learning. For 2023, SIEW also invited industry partners to promote available jobs and internships for students at the networking booths.

Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, celebrated Singapore's emerging young talent as "catalysts of change" in the energy transition.
A pre-speech round of Kahoot!, a mid-speech pop quiz with prizes, and an enthusiastic crowd—these were the engaging scenes at Friday morning's Youth@SIEW. Guest-of-honour, Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, delivered her address to a packed audience of students, educators and industry leaders. Welcome to the Final Day of SIEW 2023
The week’s SIEW 2023 event will close off on a high note, with a celebration of the achievements of emerging youth leaders in the energy sector.
- Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth will open Youth@SIEW at 9:10am
- 4 recipients will be awarded the Energy-Industry Scholarship
- 7 individuals will be recognised for successful completion of the Energy Ambassador Programme (EAP)
- 12 winning teams who participated in the Singapore Energy Grand Challenge (Youth) 2023 will be rewarded for their innovative solutions addressing energy challenges and their energy-related projects will be on display at the 2023 Youth Energy Showcase
We conclude the day with the remaining two SIEW Thinktank Roundtables, exploring if net zero buildings in Singapore are achievable, and what it takes to finance the ASEAN decarbonisation roadmap towards carbon neutrality.
