Established in 2021, the Asia Natural Gas And Energy Association (ANGEA) works with governments and industries across Asia to help them achieve key environmental, economic and social objectives, including enabling the critical role gas will play alongside renewables in the energy mix.

Our membership comprises large global energy companies covering the entire gas supply chain for Asia, from production to transportation and consumption. Those members are at the forefront of global efforts to develop low carbon energy solutions that will help drive Asia (and the world) towards a net zero future.

ANGEA works constructively with governments, the energy industry and financial institutions in Asia Pacific to build effective and integrated energy policies, with an aim to support each country’s climate objectives while promoting sustainable national and regional economic growth.

Areas of policy focus for ANGEA include:

• working to ensure sufficient gas/LNG supply to support ongoing energy transition in Asia

• fostering collaboration between countries and industries on low carbon energy initiatives

• supporting the development and widespread implementation of carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) technology, along with the policy framework required to realise its potential.
