Mr. Jifan Gao is the Chairman and CEO of Trina Solar. As the founder of Trina Solar and upholding the mission of “Benefiting Mankind with Solar Energy”, Mr. Gao has led Trina Solar to become the largest global photovoltaic module manufacturer and leading system integrator. Mr. Gao has always actively participated in and pushed forward the sustainable and healthy development of photovoltaic industry with his position as the Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) and Co-Chairman of the Global Solar Council, as well as the founding member of the Private Sector Advisory Board for United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He has frequently put forward suggestions and solutions to Chinese state leaders on the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese photovoltaic industry, including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, Premier Wen Jiabao, Vice Premier Wang Qishan, Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and Vice Premier Wang Yang, etc. Mr. Gao has also made positive contribution to the international trade dispute settlement of photovoltaic product and international cooperation of global PV industry through communication and engagement with German Chancellor Merkel, Indian Prime Minister Modi and other foreign state leaders.
