The International Energy Agency's (IEA) "Southeast Asia Energy Outlook 2024" highlights that the region's energy demand is projected to rise significantly, with electricity demand expected to more than double by 2035. This rapid growth necessitates a swift and strategic transition towards cleaner energy sources. Recognising this imperative, SIEWConnects@Kobe will explore the current challenges of LNG as a transitional fuel and the on-going efforts to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen.
