Angela Wilkinson is the 6^th Secretary General of the World Energy Council, a diverse community network of over 3,000 member organisations that has been instrumental in promoting better energy developments in over 100 countries for nearly 100 years. 

Dr Wilkinson has led the Council since 2019 as it defines, enables and accelerates successful energy transitions through its unique network, practical insights and leadership dialogues. She has over 35 years of experience in leading national and international multi-stakeholder transformation initiatives on a wide range of global energy, climate and sustainable development related challenges. Previous roles include Board-level and senior executive responsibilities in the public-, private-, academic- and civic-sectors. She is also a published author.

Jason is the Co-founder and VP of Engineering at Zuno Carbon. He has over 5 years of process engineering and environmental consulting experience, having worked with industrial facilities across 5 continents. Experienced first-hand, the challenges faced in ESG reporting and carbon accounting.

Mr Lawrence Wong is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance. He is also a Member of Parliament for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC. He co-chairs the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on COVID-19, and is the Deputy Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). He is also a member of the GIC Board, the Future Economy Council, the Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council and the National Research Foundation Board, and co-chairs the Singapore-Shanghai Comprehensive Cooperation Council.

In addition, he contributes to the labour movement as Chairman of the Singapore Labour Foundation, as well as Advisor to the Union of Power and Gas Employees, and the Building Construction and Timber Industries Employees’ Union.

Mr Wong was first elected as a Member of Parliament in May 2011. He has held positions in the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Communications and Information, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, the Ministry of National Development, and the Ministry of Education.  

Prior to entering politics, Mr Wong was a civil servant. He was previously the Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority and the Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Mr Wong was educated at Tanjong Katong Secondary School and Victoria Junior College. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Dr. Wai-Kin Wong is a highly experienced professional electrical engineer with an established track record of delivering next-generation/leading-edge technologies to market, in areas such as power system planning and analysis, advanced technology/project development & commercialisation of solar PV, wind, next-generation dispatchable generation including battery energy storage, in a career spanning applied research, academia and industry in Asia, the US and Australia.

His past roles include as the principal Engineer Network Development at ElectraNet between 2012 to 2018, where he was the technical lead for transmission grid connections and NER compliance assessment, power system dynamic analysis, renewable integration of utility-scale wind and solar PV and system planning for South Australia’s HV transmission network.

Most recently, Wai-Kin led the Grid Scale Technologies business unit at AGL Energy, where he oversaw technology strategy & development, grid connections, large-scale and Distributed Energy Resources and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) developments.

He currently holds and has recently held memberships in prominent industry panels and working groups for power system modelling, planning and system operation such as CIGRE C4 and C6 and NEMOC. Wai-Kin is a Chartered International Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia and holds current committee and previous chair roles in the IEEE Power and Energy Society.
