Paul Maguire, CEO, ENGIE Asia-Pacific, shares more on Asia-Pacific’s shift towards stronger grid interconnectivity and how ENGIE is helping bring electrification in the region
Paul Maguire is the Chief Executive Officer at ENGIE Asia-Pacific. He oversees the group’s operations and development of power generation, gas activities and energy services in the region.
Prior to joining ENGIE Asia-Pacific, Paul was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Senoko Energy, Singapore’s largest power-generation firm and oversaw significant growth in the size, geographic coverage and commercial performance of the business and led the company in the development of its long-term sustainable business strategy.
Paul has extensive experience with the utility business in Australia, having served as the Chief Executive Officer of Simply Energy, the retail arm of ENGIE Australian Energy, Finance Director of ENGIE Australian Energy, director of the Energy Retailers Association of Australia and held senior management positions at Southern Hydro Pty Ltd and City West Water Ltd.
He currently holds various directorships within the Senoko Energy group of companies, and is a member of the Singapore Institute of Power and Gas Advisory Council, Singapore Manufacturing Federation and the World Energy Council (Singapore Chapter).
Paul has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Victoria University and a Master of Business Administration from RMIT University.
