About Dr. Nuki Agya Utama, Executive Director, ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE)

Dr. Nuki Agya Utama is the Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), reporting directly to the Governing Council, consisting of Leaders of the Senior Offices on Energy from the ASEAN member states.

Dr. Nuki has a Post-Doctorate at Kyoto University’s Graduate School Energy Science for energy scenario planning in South East Asia.

He also holds a PhD, with research conducted on Life Cycle Energy Analysis from the University of Technology King Mongkut (KMUTT), Thailand.

Prior to assuming his position in ACE, he had worked at the Director level in various companies as well as a consultant in a well-known international company. In his early career, he worked as a consultant in United Nations Development Programme and United Nations Environment Programme, working on energy and environment related issues. He is also currently teaching at a post-graduate level in Swiss German University, Indonesia.
